Our Story
A Bakery Built on Love, for Community
As a couple with a shared love for food and a deep appreciation for community, we decided to settle in the heart of the Boland region, drawn to its natural beauty and social atmosphere. It was here that we began dreaming of creating something truly special — an inviting space where locals and visitors could come together to enjoy delicious food and artisanal baked goods.
In 2019, we launched the bakery which grew steadily from the very beginning. With every passing year, we realised we needed more space to accommodate our growing customer base. Finally, we discovered the perfect location: a beautiful heritage building that felt like the ideal setting for our vision. This charming space would become the foundation of our dream: a bakery and café that didn’t just offer freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries, but also provides a place where people could meet, relax, socialise, and savour incredible food. Our shared desire was simple: to create a welcoming environment for everyone, whether they were stopping by for breakfast, gathering for lunch, or celebrating a special occasion.
The journey together in the industry was born out of our lifelong passion for food, business and community. We find joy in crafting delicious food for others. Each time we create something, whether it’s a wedding cake, an artisanal bread, or a simple cup of coffee to enjoy, we pour our hearts into serving our guests, fully aware that we truly appreciate the time you choose to spend with us.
At the heart of our bakery is a commitment to quality and customer care. We take immense pride in using only the finest ingredients in everything we make. Everything is made in-house, by hand, and with utmost care. For us, it’s all about craftsmanship, knowing that we have ownership of each step of the process.
From the start, we’ve focused on building personal relationships with our customers. Creating a warm environment where everyone feels welcome and known by name. Our customers are more than just guests; they become friends with meaningful relationships. We’re proud to say that we have a loyal community built on this foundation.
In 2021, our journey as business owners became even more meaningful with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl. Her birth was a blessing that brought even more fulfillment to our lives, strengthening our bond both as a family and as business partners. Our journey together, both in marriage and business has been deeply rewarding, and every day feels like a new chapter in this adventure we’re building together. We hope to always be the light representing Godly character to each individual who comes through our door.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the future of our business. We are always committed to staying equally rooted and innovative, grounded in our core values. Our goal is to expand our beloved bakery & café to multiple locations, bringing our high-quality offerings to communities across our beautiful country where opportunity may arise.
